Looking out over the Firth of Forth, early morning. A sea haar has drifted in cloaking the world in shape shifting fog. The sun is managing to fork its way through the sky, almost apparition like. The tide is out with dark rock forms scattered on the foreshore. Two small promontories jut into the Forth arcing towards each other.

Brightly painted and tagged graffiti fence runs beside an older building which is identified as Mudford Buildings, 1915. A more recent sign says Andalus Community Centre. Behind the graffiti fence, in the distance, are two modernist buildings clad almost entirely with glass windows. The windows of the top of a third building are just visible in the centre. (Sheffield, March 2023).
