Lynebank Hospital Administration building, Dunfermline.

Constructed in 1965, it is an important example of Brutalist architecture of the post-war period. Designed by Alison and Hutchison and Partners (Harry Horace Macdonald - partner in charge).

A four storey asymmetrical cuboid structure, comprising of lecture theatre and office block.

A rare and substantially unaltered example of this style of architecture at a hospital site in Britain, showing earlier Soviet Constructivist and proto-Brutalist British influences, whilst also being a modern take on the Scottish fortified tower-house.
